Hodor's closes door; rallies to win in last inning 12-11.
Sons win in a blowout 14-7; make Bruins their 'Pitches'.

Susan Hammon hits a pitch into right center, while the crowd, and  umpire Brian Finley look on.
Alpha Owens connects on a pitch from Anthony Garcia, Sr in the 2nd inning.  Anthony Jr, Bret Ferrante, Milton Lopez & Juan Zendejas round out the Bruins Infield.
Manny Matamoros attempts to turn double play, as Mike Patterson slides into second base. Aaron Moskowitz rushes in to help. while  Kelly Sater watches the play.
Pitcher Craig Ross offers up a "Moon Ball" in the 3rd inning, with Nick Wicksman playing in at third & Ian Bates watching from second base.
Hodor's Hodors made their Knapp Ranch debut in dramatic fashion Saturday - with a late inning comeback victory, 12-11, just as time expired. It was quite a stirring comeback for the Hodors, who overcame early defense struggles & some quiet bats to secure the victory.  If anything it was a sloppy victory for the pre game underdogs, with several errors on both sides triggering the scoring output.

"It was a tough situation (to be down 7 runs early), but it was also incredible to see the team come together so early in the season. I think its a good sign to see us gelling so well this early in the season." Said Manager John Brison, who was obviously pleased with his teams late inning heroics.

Zack Moss & Josh Silver lead they way for Odor's Hodors (1-0), with 4 RBI's each, while leadoff man Greg Rothman paced the Hodors with 3 hits. The CrewSaters were lead by Mitch Dumais, who legged out a double & triple, but failed on his promise to hit a homer.

Next challenge for the Grunting Giants?  The Knapp Ranch Bruins (0-1) & with the Garcia Pitching Monster waiting for them upon Saturday's dawn.
Sons of Pitches shook off a potential late arrival penalty - and proceeded to cause "anarchy' for the Knapp Ranch Bruins with a big win Saturday morning, 14-7. After matching runs early, the Pitches shut down the Bruins with defense, & exploded for 4 & 5 runs in back to back innings - topped off by a crowd stirring 'Inside the park' Grand Slam by OF Taylor Maorga. Pitches pitcher, Craig Ross, overcame some early walks to string together 4 consecutive shut out innings - which essentially soured the Bruins chances.

"They (Pitches) played great top to bottom, and everyone did their jobs. Even when they (Bruins) scored a few runs late, I knew Craig would continue to throw strikes. Even though we scored a lot of runs - I think our teams strength is defense." Said Manger Chris Hoffman about the teams victory.

Including Maorga, the Pitches were led by big games from Alpha Owens, & Gavin Wasmer - who legged out an RBI triple in is first at bat.

Sons (1-0) takes on CrewSaters (0-1) in the later game next Saturday.
